FAQ

When should I have my Senior Portraits taken?

Typically Senior Portraits are taken the summer before your Senior year. However, if you’re not interested [or don’t need] a Yearbook photo, some Seniors choose to have them taken the spring of their Senior year. Just make sure you check with your school about the Yearbook photo policies and deadlines.

How do I choose a place for my Senior Portraits?

Together we will talk about the look and feel that you want for your Portraits. Maybe that means you love fields, streams, and bridges. Maybe you prefer a more modern look with an old abandoned building and cracked cement. Or perhaps you’re somewhere in the middle. Whatever your style is, we can find a location that you love.

What If there is bad weather

I always say, Colorado weather is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. We will watch the weather closely as your Session approaches. If it looks like rain or wind, we’ll reschedule to a day/time as soon as possible. Please let me know if you have family visiting. I like to schedule a backup date within their visiting time in the event we need to reschedule due to weather.

What should I wear?

When selecting what to wear for your session I always recommend choosing clothing that you feel great in – if you feel great, you’ll be confident, comfortable, and more relaxed. However, please be wary of stripes, plaids, busy patterns and neon colors.
These can be a distraction and keep you from being the focus of your portraits.

What should I bring with me?

Along with your change of clothes, I recommend bringing basic stuff like a brush, powder, lip gloss, anything you are into such as sport equipment, musical instrument, bike, etc.

When is the best time of day for my Session?

The best time is usually first thing in the morning (are you an early bird?!) or an hour or two before sunset. However, any time of the day is fine.

What happens after we take the Portraits?

You will first receive a proof gallery that displays all your best portraits. You will then select your favorite portraits to be fully edited (usually 2-3 weeks after our Senior Session). Once your images are edited, you’ll have 2 weeks to look over the pictures download your images and place your order. After that time, your Gallery will expire, so don’t wait too long to check out your pictures!
